General

Should I arrive early to my appointment?


We recommend that you arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your reservation. Spa clients are required to fill out paperwork necessary to safely perform treatments. Late arrivals will not receive an extension on scheduled appointments, and full payment will be required.




Can I bring my children to my appointment?


Capretti & Co. loves children and are happy to welcome them for appointments only. Due to numerous safety concerns and the comfort of other guests, children are not permitted in the salon unless they have an appointment. Thank you for understanding our new Safety & Etiquette Policy. We are endeavoring to create & maintain a relaxed and stress-free environment.




Do you require a deposit for spa parties?


Yes. If you are booking for a spa party of 3 or more people, we require a deposit of 50%.




What is your cancellation policy?


We realize life can get crazy and sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We do ask that you give us 24 hours notice if you need to cancel. If 24 hours advance cancellation notice is not given, we reserve the right to charge for the full amount of the missed service on all forms of payment, including gift certificates. We reserve the right to ask the client to reschedule, or refuse service at our discretion.




What is your return policy?


Product returns are for store credit only and must be accompanied by store receipt. Makeup is not returnable. Gift certificates and services rendered are nonrefundable. No cash refunds.




Why do service prices vary from stylist to stylist?


Depending on the level of experience of the stylist, we have adopted a tiered pricing system. Although all of our stylists are at different points in their career, they value education and strive to elevate their skills day after day.




How do I know in which location my appointment was scheduled?


We use an appointment confirmation system via email and text message which will verify your date and time as well as whether the appointment is at the Crafton, or Settlers Ridge location. Be sure to enable text confirmations! If you still are not sure, or didn't receive your confirmation for some reason, give us a call and we will be happy to assist you!





Waxing

What can I do to get the best results from my waxing service?


Waxing is most effective on hair that about 1/8 to 1/4 inches long. So let it grow! If you have booked an eyebrow wax, do not tweeze them for at least a week for optimum results.




What do I need to tell my technician before receiving a waxing service?


Certain medications can make the skin much more sensitive than usual. In such a condition, the skin is compromised and vulnerable to becoming damaged. We cannot perform waxing services on guests using Accutane. Even if you have stopped taking Accutane, you must consult with your Doctor before receiving a waxing service. In addition, most acne medications, bleaching agents, and products containing Retin A as well as many others can cause sensitivity. Waxing may not be recommended if you are using these medications. So please consult the directions or your Doctor if you have any doubts, and tell your technician!





Hair

Why do you require a consultation for first time color clients?


If you never have received a color service at Capretti and Co, we require you to schedule a consultation prior to booking that service. There are two reasons for this. The first, is that we want you to have the best experience possible. A consultation will help achieve this by making sure there is enough time to discuss all options with your stylist. The second reason, is that the Pa State Board of Cosmetology requires a patch a test to insure you don't have a reaction to the color. We realize this may seem inconvenient, however, we care about the well being of our guests and feel this policy is in your best interest.




Should I wash my hair before getting a color service?


The natural oils from your scalp actually help protect it during color services so we don't recommend that you wash your hair right before a color service. However, we ask that you not use a root concealer the day of your haircolor service if possible. We cannot guarantee the results if you use one since it can interfere with color coverage.




Should I wash my hair before getting a specialty style?


Yes! Freshly washed and dried hair is preferrable. If extra texture is needed, we have several amazing Aveda products available to achieve a great style.

Unfortunately, we do not. Aveda gift cards can be redeemed at an Aveda store or Aveda.com
